Myleigh's nursery theme changed!

Myleigh's grandmother Carolyn called this week and offered to make the bedding. I love the new material. It is brown, pink, and lavendar now!

It has lady bugs and butterflies!

25 WEEKS!

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.
Head to heels,baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Myleigh's friend Kaleb was born this week! May 17th, 2010

Great week, moved to new place and all settled in.

24 WEEKS!

Baby is just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), she cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but her body is filling out proportionally and she'll soon start to plump up. Her brain is also growing quickly now, and her taste buds are continuing to develop. Baby's now the size of a papaya!
Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, her newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.

Started working at New Life City on May 10th! I love it there and everyone loves little Myleigh!

My mom, brother, and Brenda came to ABQ to help us and we can't wait to start decorating your nursery!

23 Weeks! Doctor Appt May 3, 2010! Facebook comments

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

Just left baby doctor! Baby & I are perfectly healthy! 23 weeks & 4 days :)

I got in trouble for not drinking enough water. No more Dr. Pepper-busted :(

Her heart beat was great & loud! I have only gained 9 lbs total! YEAH!!

Everything else great! One more monthly appointment than every 2 weeks :)

Ultrasound on the 13th of May.

22 Weeks & Baby Bed Progress

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, the baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. Her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. Her eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside the womb, we would be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers her body and the deep wrinkles on her skin, which she'll sport until she adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside her belly, her pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Grammie, Aunt Jenny & Aunt Sarah are hosting a baby shower for us in Lubbock on June 26th for our all family & friends that still live in Lubbock and we miss so much!!

So excited! What a Blessing that is for us. We have such sweet family!

Can't wait to see everyone!

21 Weeks

Myleigh now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

Daddy is determined for you to like coffee! In this picture he has his coffee cup in your car seat.

We are so excited that you are a GIRL!! We can't wait!!
